Advice I would give myself If I started trading from scratch:
- Don’t keep switching strategies every time you lose. Every edge is profitable. Find one you like and refine it until you are profitable.
- Keep a journal log of every trade both in the live market and the back testing sessions. Trading is all data collection and modifying the less probable setups to more probable ones. Less of one and more of the other but without data you don’t know what to change.
- You will lose no matter what. Its a part of the game. Star baseball players don’t hit a home run every time they are up on the plate. They are paid millions for being able to hit the ball 30% of the time and get points on the board. They lose games too. You are no different. Losing while following your plan is the part of the game.
- Surround yourself with positive people that will support you in your journey. If you are the smartest person in the room, you are in the wrong room. Join a community and stay there until you are profitable. No leaked course will get you there. Everyone assumes that their stuff will get leaked and and saves the best stuff for within the community.
Definitely some things I would have changed. But none the less every experience brought me here so I don’t regret anything. Perhaps someone can avoid some of the mistakes I have made just by reading this answer!
